A letter from the founder
Over the past 20 years, my work has focused on making apps feel simple, useful, and enjoyable to use. I’ve mainly focused on designing, building, and shipping software for Mac and iOS, but I’ve also developed numerous products for the web.
I started making Mac software in Brighton back in 2002, and for more than twenty years RapidWeaver helped people who’d never written a line of code publish something they were proud of on the web.
Elements is everything I’ve learned since then. It’s RapidWeaver, but rebuilt from the ground up.
We built Elements the way we think software should work. First and foremost, it’s a real Mac app. There’s no lock-in like there is with online site builders. You’re free to publish your website wherever you want.
Any add-ons you buy for Elements are a one-time purchase, with no extra subscriptions. We’ve built AI into the core of Elements too, but instead of charging extra for it, you can use the AI services you’re already subscribed to.
We’re small enough that when you email us, one of the four people on this page will answer. We’re not trying to be the biggest builder on the internet. We’re just trying to be the best website builder for Mac.
